Extend the Instructional Task: (counting collections)

Thinking about extending instructional tasks:

i.e. Pose a question about the collection...what if we collected 10 more items?  How many items would there be in our collection?  How do you know?

What are some of your favorite ways to extend?
How could we do this remotely?

What do you think about this idea?  Take turns counting the collection…take a picture of the first person’s count…the second person counts and leaves their collection out.  Compare the picture of the 1 st   count to the 2 nd   count.  What’s the same?  Different?  How could this work remotely?
